Privacy policy

Last updated

This policy explains what personal data Cool Unlimited collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website and the mobile apps we publish.

Who is responsible

The data controller is COOL UN LTD, trading as Cool Unlimited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 04985133, whose registered office is 42 Marrick, Wilnecote, Tamworth, England, B77 4NU.

For anything in this policy, contact privacy@coolunlimited.co.uk.

This website

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. We do not track visitors, we do not build profiles, and there is no third-party JavaScript on any page. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything.

Our hosting provider, Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps, processes standard server request data in order to serve pages and protect the service. We do not have access to a visitor-level view of it.

If you email us, we hold that email and your address so we can reply and keep a record of the correspondence.

Our apps

Our games do not ask you to create an account with us, and we do not run a server that stores your play data. Progress is held on your device and in your own iCloud account, which we cannot read. Where a game records a history of matches against another player, those records stay on the two devices involved.

Analytics and crash reporting

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the game is played and to find out when it breaks. This collects product interaction, crash and performance data.

We do not send any personal identifier with it — no name, no Game Center ID, no iCloud identity, and no free text you have typed. You can turn this off entirely in Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage datainside the game.

Advertising

Games that show adverts use Google AdMob. Before any advert appears, you will be asked twice: once by Apple, for permission to use your device's advertising identifier, and once by a consent form listing the advertising partners involved. Neither prompt appears at launch — both wait until an advert is actually about to be relevant.

If you decline either one, you will still see adverts, but they will not be personalised. We also treat the in-game privacy switch as part of that decision: if you have turned off "Share anonymous usage data", adverts are not personalised regardless of what you told the consent form.

You can remove adverts permanently by buying the relevant in-app purchase.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We receive confirmation that a purchase happened so we can unlock what you bought. We never see your payment details.

Game Center

If a game uses Apple Game Center for leaderboards or multiplayer, that feature is governed by Apple's own privacy policy and your Game Center settings. We do not store your Game Center identity.

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

These providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on the safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

To exercise any of these, email privacy@coolunlimited.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

In practice, because we hold almost nothing that identifies you, a deletion request is usually satisfied by deleting the app and telling us to delete any correspondence.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator.

Children

Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will update this page when what we do changes, and the date at the top will change with it.
